A collection of fraternal order jewels and medals? comprising examples associated with the Royal Masonic Institution and the Independent Order of Oddfellows. The lot includes three jewels for the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls, constructed with white metal? and blue enamel shield-shaped pendants suspended from white ribbons. Two pieces are dated 1977, and a third is dated 1980, featuring a blue enamel bar inscribed STEWARD and a gilt metal effect? circular emblem pinned to the ribbon. A fourth jewel, for the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys, is dated 1977 and features a light blue ribbon with a red enamel STEWARD bar and a pendant bearing the motto AMOR HONOR ET JUSTITIA. The collection is completed by a gilt metal effect? and enamel jewel for the Independent Order of Oddfellows Manchester Unity, with a dark blue ribbon and a central oval inscribed JUVENILE PAST PRESIDENT and M.U. Small, illegible impressed marks are present on the reverse of the Masonic pendants.
