A collection of lithographed tinplate advertising and utility containers of British origin. The assortment includes various tobacco tins, prominently featuring multiple examples for Gold Block pipe tobacco with lids printed GOLD BLOCK and THE ARISTOCRAT OF PIPE TOBACCOS, with some marked MADE IN ENGLAND. Also present are tins for Golden Virginia HAND ROLLING TOBACCO by W.D. & H.O. WILLS, and Marcovitch Black & White Cigarettes. The lot includes industrial containers such as a rectangular tin for CARRS LEATHER OIL and A PERFECT LEATHER PRESERVATIVE, alongside a green tin featuring the Castrol motor oil logo. A further green tin bears a red label reading NEW METRIC SIZE 50 g . 1.8 oz. WHEN PACKED. Several tins have been repurposed with white adhesive labels bearing handwritten text reading STAPLES, MOULDING PINS, and 1/2″ PINS.
