The straight-sided storage jar is decorated with a mottled spongeware glaze in dark brown and cream tones with a high-gloss finish. The hand-painted figurine portrays a piebald horse with a brown mane and tail, wearing a blue harness and standing on a rectangular base painted to resemble grass. The bowl features a scalloped rim and is hand-painted with stylized foliate and floral designs in sage green, ochre, and dark brown on a buff ground, with a solid dark-glazed interior.
