A 1997 United Kingdom Brilliant Uncirculated coin collection produced by the Royal Mint. The set is presented in a circular display window within a red card folder. The collection comprises the first bi-metallic two-pound coin featuring the ‘Technology’ design, a nickel-brass one-pound coin, and both the large and small format fifty-pence coins, representing the transitional year for the denomination. The set further contains twenty-pence, ten-pence, five-pence, two-pence, and one-penny coins. All coins bear the Raphael Maklouf portrait of Queen Elizabeth II to the obverse with the inscription ‘ELIZABETH II D G REG F D’. The reverse of the packaging bears the Royal Mint logo and text reading ‘ROYAL MINT, LLANTRISANT, MID GLAMORGAN CF72 8YT’ and ‘Crown Copyright 1997’. The coins are held within the original presentation folder and exhibit full original mint lustre.
