A Saxony made ten-key diatonic button accordion, or melodeon, constructed with a dark stained wood? casing. The instrument features silver-coloured floral scrollwork stencilling to the melody side and multi-coloured floral paper borders at the bellows joins. It is equipped with ten melody buttons, two bass buttons, and three turned wooden pull-stops finished in black. The bellows consist of multi-fold paper and cloth, reinforced with embossed white metal? corner plates. Each plate is embossed with a central device of a house with a chimney and two windows, flanked by the inscription HOUSE TRADE MARK and MADE IN SAXONY. A black webbed fabric strap is attached to the casing.
