A studio art pottery vessel of flattened hooped form, featuring a large central oval aperture and a short cylindrical spout protruding horizontally from one side. The piece is constructed from earthenware? and finished in a vibrant, high-gloss turquoise blue glaze. The surface is decorated with reactive splashes and runs of deep oxblood red and brownish-green flambé glazes, concentrated around the neck and outer perimeter. Two curved bands of relief-moulded decoration, depicting clusters of stylised four-petaled flowers, flank the central opening on both faces. The vessel is supported by a flat, unglazed base.
