A Royal Stafford fine bone china tea and dinner service in the Rochester pattern, comprising twenty-seven pieces. The service is decorated with transfer-printed polychrome floral sprays including pink roses, blue, yellow, and purple blossoms with green foliage. Each piece features a scalloped rim with gilt effect highlights. The set includes six teacups with scrolled handles, six saucers, six tea plates, six salad plates, one handled cake plate, a creamer, and a sugar bowl. The underside of the pieces bears a printed backstamp with the pattern name ROCHESTER in pink above ROYAL STAFFORD, a crown device, BONE CHINA, and MADE IN ENGLAND in green. A small hand-painted pink numeral 3 is also present.
