A collection of yellow metal jewellery and commemorative items. The group includes a signet-style ring? set with a Queen Victoria gold? coin featuring the ‘Old Head’ portrait and the inscription ‘VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REGINA F: D:’. The exterior of the ring shank bears two punch marks: the first is illegible, and the second contains the digit ‘9’ followed by a character which is not clearly legible. Also included is a circular yellow metal locket? decorated with engraved foliate motifs surrounding a central circular cartouche and a pair of yellow metal screw-back earrings, each prong-set with a square-cut colourless? stone. The collection further comprises an enamel naval badge? for ‘HMS NEWFOUNDLAND’ featuring a blue enamel banner above a white enamel medallion depicting a golden stag rampant.
