The garment comprises a white lace-effect bodice and large puffed sleeves decorated with blended blue and purple tones. The facial features are hand-painted, and the hair is styled in a mid-brown bob. The base bears a black printed factory mark consisting of a lion surmounting a crown, surrounded by the words MADE IN ENGLAND, ROYAL DOULTON, ENGLAND and BONE CHINA. Below this is the text Royal Doulton ®, HN 3420, ASHLEY, Modelled by followed by the facsimile signature of Nada M. Pedley, and the copyright date © 1992 ROYAL DOULTON. A small hand-painted purple dot and a faint green mark are also present near the base rim.
