The group includes a variety of holy cards and postcards depicting subjects such as the Mater Dolorosa, Christ in Gethsemane, and St. Anthony of Padua. Notable paper items include two funeral service booklets; one bearing the printed imprint ALBERT FRANCE Catholic Undertaker, 45, LAMB’S CONDUIT ST., W.C.1. Phone: Holborn 4901. and another for P. W. COVENEY, Catholic Undertaker, 127, FARRINGDON ROAD, E.C.1. Phone: CLERKENWELL 5864. The lot also contains two small black cloth-bound prayer books, a wooden wall-hanging crucifix with a white metal? corpus and INRI plaque, a white glazed ceramic? holy water font designed as a shell with an angel, and a bisque-fired? cherub figure.
