An Elizabethan fine bone china tea and coffee service in the English Garden pattern. Each piece is constructed with a fluted or ribbed body and embossed bead borders to the rims. The decoration features transfer-printed floral sprays of multi-coloured roses in shades of pink, yellow, and red with green foliage, complemented by hand-applied gold gilt to the scalloped rims and scrolled handles. The service comprises one teapot and lid, one coffee pot and lid, one open sugar bowl, one creamer, six teacups, six saucers, six side plates, and two serving plates. The base of the pieces bears a printed factory mark in black and purple reading EST. 1875, ENGLISH GARDEN, Elizabethan, STAFFORDSHIRE, Hand Decorated, FINE BONE CHINA, ENGLAND.
