A Mid-Century Modern? wooden sewing box of cantilever construction. The box features a three-tier accordion-opening design comprising a single large base compartment and four smaller upper sections. The top two compartments are fitted with twin hinged wooden lids, each featuring a turned wooden knob. The unit stands on four detachable, tapered wooden legs which screw into the base. The cantilever mechanism is operated via wooden support arms secured by metal screw and washer fixings. The box contains a collection of vintage haberdashery and sewing supplies, including wooden and plastic thread spools in various colours, multiple zippers of varying lengths, a flexible blue measuring tape, and a floral pattern fabric pincushion.
