A pair of? white metal serving trays comprising one rectangular and one oval example, each constructed with a copper core. The rectangular tray features an ornate scalloped and gadrooned rim punctuated by shell motifs and is fitted with two elaborate cast handles decorated with scrolling foliate designs. The oval tray is designed with a deep, pierced gallery rim featuring vertical slotting and two integrated oval handle cutouts. Both pieces display significant surface wear throughout the wells and along the raised decorative elements, revealing the underlying red-toned base metal. There are numerous surface scratches, areas of heavier scuffing, and patches of dark oxidation consistent with age and regular use. No maker’s marks or stamps are legible on the upper surfaces.
