A Rubian Art Pottery lidded biscuit barrel of faceted, octagonal form. The earthenware body is finished in a mottled, splashed blue lustre glaze, decorated with hand-painted stylized floral motifs in vibrant tones of red, yellow, and blue with green leaves. It features an inset lid topped with a small knob and an overhead swing handle constructed from metal wire wrapped in a ribbed black cord. The base is marked with a green printed stamp reading RUBIAN ART POTTERY ENGLAND and a hand-painted blue mark ||.
