A vernacular storage box of rectangular form, constructed from sheet and wrought iron. The exterior surfaces are embellished with hand-incised and punched folk art decoration, featuring stylised leaf motifs bordered by repeating punched circular patterns. The lid features four large leaves arranged in a central motif, with corresponding foliate designs to each side panel. The box is raised upon four tapered conical feet and is fitted with a large D-shaped swing handle secured by floral-shaped backplates. A hinged lid is secured by a heart-shaped hasp over a fixed staple, designed to accommodate a padlock. The construction exhibits hand-forged elements and visible rivets throughout, with hammered textures visible on the handle and hasp. The metal has an overall dark, oxidised matte patina.
