A pair of open-face pocket watches by Ingersoll. The first timepiece, a Waterbury model, features a white dial with black Arabic numerals, a railroad minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six o’clock position. The dial is decorated with ornate black spade and whip hands and is marked with the script signature ‘Ingersoll’ above ‘WATERBURY’. The case is constructed from white metal showing significant wear and oxidation to the bezel and edges, revealing a yellow-toned base metal beneath. The second timepiece is an Ingersoll Triumph model featuring a two-tone tuxedo-style dial with a black outer chapter ring, white Arabic numerals, and an inner white circle with a subsidiary seconds dial. The dial is marked ‘INGERSOLL TRIUMPH’ and ‘MADE IN GT BRITAIN’ in block capitals. Both watches are manual wind and approximately 50 mm in diameter.
