A group of five mid-20th-century souvenir holiday camp badges produced for Butlin’s. The collection features a variety of designs in die-cast white metal? with multi-coloured enamel decoration. The earliest piece is a circular 1949 Skegness badge with a textured gilt metal effect? centre and a blue border inscribed ‘BUTLIN’S SKEGNESS 1949’. Three badges from the 1958 season represent various camps, including a star-shaped example inscribed ‘CLACTON Butlin’s 1958’, a rosette inscribed ‘BUTLIN’S FILEY 1958’, and a flower-shaped badge with a leaping green fish motif inscribed ‘BUTLIN’S SKEGNESS 1958’. The final piece is a rectangular badge featuring a stylised figure with luggage and the embossed inscription ‘HURRAH ITS BUTLINS’. Each badge retains its original pin backing.
