A collection of Butlin’s holiday camp souvenir badges, constructed from gilt-metal effect base metal with vitreous enamelled decoration. The assortment includes two 1949 dated examples: a rectangular light blue badge depicting a stylized diver in a red and yellow cape, and a triangular badge featuring a light green field with a central windmill motif. A rectangular badge with clipped corners from 1965 depicts a jumping stag against a textured orange ground, while a circular 1965 Filey badge features a yellow Yorkshire rose motif with a maroon border and green ribbon detail. Also included is an open-work circular badge depicting the Jolly Fisherman character in blue and white enamel within a gold-toned ring. The diver badge is inscribed ‘FILEY 1949 BUTLIN’S’. The triangular badge is inscribed ‘BUTLIN’S 1949 CLACION’. The stag badge is marked ‘BUTLIN’S 1965 MINEHEAD’. The rose badge is inscribed ‘BUTLIN’S 1965 FILEY’. The character badge is inscribed ‘BUTLIN’S HOLIDAY CLUB’.
