A pair of hand-painted earthenware? mugs of cylindrical form, each featuring distinctive angular handles with a slight peak at the apex. One vessel is decorated with a pink ground populated by black circles, centring upon a yellow and brown floral motif. This central design is flanked by turquoise panels with foliate scrolls and bounded by repetitive brown chevron and geometric bands. The second vessel features a hexagonal lattice pattern, with each compartment containing stylized floral or scroll motifs in shades of blue and turquoise. The upper and lower borders consist of brown chevron and foliate motifs. Both pieces are finished with a clear glaze over polychrome pigments in the Jerusalem? style. The interior of each mug is finished in a plain cream glaze.
