A Royal Crown Derby porcelain Siamese kitten paperweight of stylised, seated form with the head turned towards the left. The figure is decorated in a rich Imari palette, featuring cobalt blue, iron red, and extensive 22ct gold gilding over a white ground. The decoration consists of intricate floral, foliate, and feather-like motifs, with solid gilding applied to the nose, whiskers, and the interior of the ears. The base is fitted with an inset gold-toned metal stopper embossed with the circular text ROYAL CROWN DERBY surrounding a crown and monogram device. Further markings to the base include a small hand-painted purple mark resembling a lowercase c with a flourish and a small brown device.
