A collection of vintage utility and decorative items. The lot features a rectangular wooden box decorated with intricate Middle Eastern? khatam style parquetry, featuring geometric patterns in various woods and white tesserae of likely bone? or celluloid. The box opens on brass hinges to reveal a red velvet lined interior with a decorative cord border. Included is a rectangular lithographed metal tobacco tin, the lid printed with the text LAMBERT & BUTLER’S CUT COARSE WAVERLEY MIXTURE surrounding a central circular portrait. The side of the tin also reads WAVERLEY MIXTURE. The collection further comprises two hand tools with turned dark wooden handles, possibly awls? or scribers, one fitted with a brass ferrule and a pointed steel tip. Additional items include a small lump of black cobbler’s wax?, a circular green object, and two black-finished white metal? D-rings.
