A collection of cast iron industrial plaques of Yorkshire origin. The first is a rectangular sign of stepped form featuring three recessed panels to the top containing the raised letters J, W and J. The lower section is cast with the text HOLMFIRTH and YORKS. The second is a triangular pediment plaque with a raised diamond-pattern ground, bearing the inscription THE BOWMONK FIREPROOF GARAGE MANUFACTURED BY BOWSER MONKS & WHITEHOUSE LTD ENTERPRISE WORKS DONCASTER. Both items are finished in black with raised lettering and include integrated mounting holes or horizontal oblong slots.
