A nine piece bone china tea service manufactured for The Cunard Steam-Ship Company Limited. The set comprises three teacups, four saucers, a lidded sugar bowl and a cream jug. The lidded sugar bowl and cream jug are of an architectural square form with integrated, angular handles, while the teacups follow a traditional rounded shape with low-slung handles. The service features a cream-coloured body decorated in a minimalist style with a thin black line at the rims and a horizontal band composed of two orange stripes flanking a central grey stripe. The sugar bowl lid is square with a circular central well and a steam vent hole. The base of the pieces features a printed black circular emblem reading THE CUNARD STEAM-SHIP COMPANY LIMITED containing a lion rampant holding a globe and surmounted by a crown, positioned next to vertical text reading FOLEY BONE CHINA STONIERS LIVERPOOL.
