A collection of vintage woodworking hand planes manufactured by Stanley. The group comprises a No. 4 smoothing plane, a No. 5 jack plane, and a block plane. The bench planes are constructed with cast iron bodies and stained hardwood? / rosewood? totes and front knobs. The No. 4 plane features a lever cap with a vertical rectangular logo reading STANLEY in relief against a red painted ground, with the main casting behind the front knob marked BAILEY and No 4. The larger No. 5 plane bears the STANLEY name on the lever cap, with the body casting marked BAILEY and No 5. The block plane features a black japanned finish and is marked STANLEY at the nose near the adjustment screw. All three items appear complete with their respective steel irons, chip breakers, and adjustment hardware.
