A pair of Murano? cased art glass vases of ruffled handkerchief form. Each vessel is constructed with an opaque buttery yellow exterior layer over a white interior, creating a soft, opaque colour and a substantial wall thickness. The rims are hand-shaped into deep, irregular undulating folds, characteristic of the ‘fazzoletto’ style, which creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow across the curved surfaces. Each vase is supported by an integral clear glass circular foot, providing a stable foundation and contrasting with the opaque body. The underside of the foot features a polished pontil mark, indicative of the traditional hand-blown manufacturing process.
