The sculpture is rendered in a dynamic animalier style, capturing the anatomical musculature and flowing manes of the stallions in high relief. The horses are positioned upon an integral rocky-textured base, which is mounted on a larger stepped rectangular plinth featuring a moulded repeating border of geometric motifs. The off-white material has a matte finish. The textured base is incised with the signature A. Santini.
