A pair of glazed ceramic planters featuring characters and motifs from the Beatrix Potter tales. The first vessel is fashioned as a hollowed tree stump, intricately moulded with textures of bark, moss, and climbing ivy. This planter is populated by two figures of Peter Rabbit in blue jackets, a small brown bird, and a snail at the base. The second planter is designed as a rustic wooden wheelbarrow set within a garden of yellow flowers, featuring Peter Rabbit clutching a bunch of radishes and a small field mouse peering over the rim. Both pieces are finished with detailed hand-painted polychrome glazes. The bases of the planters are not visible.
