A Royal Worcester bone china figurine of a lady, titled A Royal Anniversary and designed by John Bromley for the Splendour at Court collection. The figure is depicted in a formal late-Victorian style ball gown, comprising a pale turquoise-blue bodice and draped overskirt set above a white pleated inner skirt. The attire is decorated with hand-painted cascading garlands of applied pink roses and highlights in gilt metal effect. The subject features an upswept hairstyle with a rose ornament, a gilded collar necklace, and holds a white polka-dot fan. The base features a black printed factory mark consisting of a crown above a circular crest and the words ROYAL WORCESTER FINE BONE CHINA. Centred text in black script reads A Royal Anniversary is a figurine in the SPLENDOUR AT COURT collection, issued in a limited edition of 12,500 of which this is No. 3704 Sculpted by John Bromley (C) Compton & Woodhouse (R) 1996. The base also carries the reference CW 317 and handwritten initials JNV.
