A collection of enamel lapel badges produced to commemorate the 1990 International Motor Cycle Show held at the National Exhibition Centre. Each badge is of shield-shaped form, constructed from gilt metal effect material with navy blue and red enamel infill. The vertical navy blue band to the left is inscribed with the word ‘The’ in script above ‘INTERNATIONAL’ in vertical block capitals. The central red panel features the text ‘MOTOR CYCLE SHOW’ in gold-tone block lettering. At the base, a navy blue scroll banner is inscribed ‘NATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRE – 1990 –’. A die-cut logo projecting to the left depicts a motorcyclist in red enamel containing the letters ‘B M F’, referencing the British Motorcyclists Federation. The collection comprises ten identical badges.
