A collection of pocket compasses of varying designs and materials. One instrument features a brass-toned hunting style case with a hinged lid embossed with a fouled anchor and chain motif, containing a brass-effect dial with black cardinal and intercardinal points marked N, NW, W, SW, S, SE, E, and NE, alongside a degree scale. Another compass is housed in a white metal case with an engine-turned lid displaying a circular textured pattern, opening to reveal a black dial with luminous green markings for cardinal points and degrees. A third example possesses a polished white metal case with a silvered dial marked with a traditional compass rose and an outer black degree ring graduated 0-360 in 20-degree increments. The final compass is a smaller model constructed from white metal with a separate push-fit lid and a black face featuring a green-tipped luminous needle. All four instruments are fitted with integral fob rings for attachment.
