A Longines RAF 6B/159 military pilot’s or navigator’s wristwatch, featuring a white metal? case and a manual wind movement. The aged cream-coloured dial is set with black Arabic numerals and features an outer minute track, fitted with blued steel spade-style hands. The watch is equipped with a distinctive oversized onion winding crown and is presented on a modern black leather replacement strap with a pin buckle. The dial is printed with the maker’s name LONGINES below the twelve o’clock position and is marked SWISS MADE at the six o’clock position. The screw-down case back is engraved with three lines of military issue markings reading A M, 6B / 159, and 11291 / 40, indicating the British Air Ministry specification and a 1940 issue date.
