A vintage Seiko 5 automatic gents wristwatch, reference 7009-3170. The watch features a stainless steel case and an integrated stainless steel link bracelet. The dark brown or black dial is set with applied silver-tone baton hour markers and the Seiko 5 shield logo below the 12 o’clock position. A day-date aperture is located at the 3 o’clock position. The dial is printed with Automatic above the 6 o’clock mark and has small text at the bottom edge beginning with 7009. The screw-down case back is centrally stamped with the reference number 7009-3170 and serial number 921825, suggesting a manufacture date of approximately February 1989. It also bears the inscriptions Stainless Steel, Water Resistant, and a boxed A4 mark. The bracelet is finished with a folding clasp signed Seiko.
