A pair of Victorian-era Bohemian cased glass vases. Each vase is constructed from white satin-finished glass overlaid onto ruby red glass. The form features a flared ruby red rim, a tall tapering neck, and a bulbous body supported by a circular pedestal foot in ruby red. The neck of each vase is embellished with an applied ruby glass serpent trail wrapped twice. The body is decorated with cut-to-clear foliate motifs that reveal the ruby red glass layer beneath the frosted white surface. Further decoration consists of hand-painted polychrome enamel floral sprays in shades of blue, red, green, and yellow. The bases exhibit a polished pontil mark. No maker marks or signatures are present.
