A matched pair of 9ct yellow gold creole hoop earrings featuring an ornate traditional design. Each earring is constructed with a hollow crescent-shaped body. The outer circumference is decorated with a series of radiating triangular points in a sunburst pattern, with each point accented by scroll-work filigree and terminating in a small gold granule. The inner rim of the crescent is finished with a fine beaded border. The earrings are secured by hinged ear wires that lock into a loop closure. Small incised hallmarks are present on the ear wires near the hinges.
