A vintage-style white leather association football, produced as a commemorative item for the English footballer Emlyn Hughes. The ball is constructed from multiple stitched leather panels. One panel features the name EMLYN HUGHES O.B.E. printed in large red block capitals. An adjacent panel displays a printed black and white portrait of Hughes. The ball is hand-signed in ink with the name Emlyn Hughes across two panels. The inclusion of the O.B.E. designation dates the production of the item to post-1980, the year Hughes was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire. A small white rectangular sticker with the black printed digits 1003 is present on the surface.
