A vintage Hornby Railways OO gauge R.508 Flying Scotsman train set featuring an exhaust steam sound mechanism. The set consists of an L.N.E.R. Class A3 4-6-2 locomotive No. 4472 Flying Scotsman finished in apple green livery, a matching tender, and two teak-effect passenger coaches numbered 1870 and 1010. Also included are sections of curved System 6 track. The locomotive, tender, and coaches are constructed with plastic bodies on metal chassis with metal wheels. The set is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box with a yellow plastic internal display tray. The box lid bears the label R.508 Flying Scotsman Set with Exhaust Steam Sound and identifies the manufacturer as Rovex Limited, Made in Great Britain. The locomotive features the number 4472 on the cab sides and No 4472 on the front buffer beam. The coaches and tender are marked with L N E R decals.
