A mid-century modern West German pottery vase of tall cylindrical form, tapering slightly towards the base, featuring a narrow neck and a broad, everted rim. The exterior body is finished with a distinct three-tone zoned glaze. The upper portion and neck are coated in a glossy, honey-mustard yellow glaze that displays fine surface crazing. A dark brown band at the mid-section transitions into a matte, textured, and speckled light-tan or oatmeal-coloured glaze across the lower half of the vessel. The interior and rim are finished in a dark chocolate brown glaze. A small rectangular white paper label printed with the digits 4949 is adhered to the central section.
