A large-scale wall mirror in the Rococo Revival style. The rectangular mirror plate is set within an ornate, swept gilt-finished frame. The frame is constructed from a wooden substrate with heavily moulded composite decoration featuring scrolling acanthus leaves, floral swags, and prominent shell motifs at the centres and corners. The inner border of the frame is decorated with a repeating bead-and-reel pattern. The mirror plate is clear and reflective. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
