An Mdina studio art glass paperweight of bulbous teardrop form, featuring an internal ‘Tiger’ pattern of concentric spiral bands in yellow-ochre and dark chocolate brown. The glass matrix contains a high density of fine, randomly dispersed seed bubbles. The neck of the piece is clear glass, leading to a spherical clear glass finial which also exhibits internal air bubbles. This combination of form and earthy colour palette is a characteristic design from the Mdina glassworks in Malta, established by Michael Harris.
