A pair of glazed porcelain figurines produced by NAO, a brand of the Lladró Group. The first figurine depicts an infant lying on a draped white cloth base with its legs raised, consistent with the Baby Jesus model from the nativity series. The second figurine depicts a seated or curled infant in a contemplative pose, identified as the Thinking Baby. Both pieces feature a characteristic soft-toned glossy glaze with pale skin tones and hand-painted light brown hair. The bases feature printed maker marks including the NAO sailboat logo, Handmade in Spain, and by Lladró. The seated figurine also includes the copyright mark © DAISA 1981. Both pieces have original circular firing holes in the underside.
