A collection of Catholic devotional materials and prayer books, primarily of United Kingdom interest. The group includes a copy of Magnificat: Liturgies and Events of the Papal Visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the United Kingdom, dated September 16th to 19th 2010, published by Magnificat with a pictorial softcover binding. Also present is The Sunday Missal, featuring a red textured cloth binding with gold-tone debossed religious iconography including a chalice and host. A copy of A Simple Prayer Book published by the Catholic Truth Society is included, alongside a small black-bound Lord Wharton Presentation Book with gold-stamped lettering stating: By the will of PHILIP, LORD WHARTON, 1696. Presented 1936. The collection further contains A Catechism of Christian Doctrine, Revised Edition 1921, in an orange paper softcover. Accompanying ephemera includes a purple Stations of the Cross pamphlet, a Pope Francis commemorative card from Bethlehem dated May 2014, a Diocese of Leeds Prayers for the Year of Faith card, a Someone Does Care prayer card, and various memorial and prayer sheets, including a Thank You Mother card signed Donna Fargo and a small green and white booklet with a CEC logo.
