The piece features a shepherd’s crook handle with a tightly twisted wrythen design that tapers into a solid, smooth cylindrical shaft. Historically, these items were created by glassblowers at the end of their shift using residual molten glass. A small white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the upper section of the shaft, though the characters are not clearly legible.
