A Beswick glazed ceramic figurine, model number 1811, depicting a mare and foal on an integral base. The figurine features a mare finished in a dark brown gloss glaze with a white facial blaze and two white socks to the rear legs. Beside her stands a chestnut foal with a high-gloss finish, also featuring a white facial blaze and white socks. Both animals are positioned on a rectangular, grass-textured base decorated in green and earthy brown tones. The underside of the base features incised marks including the word ENGLAND, the model number 1811, and the Beswick script signature.
