A salvaged railway seat back from a British Rail Class 142 Pacer diesel multiple unit, formerly in service with Northern Rail. The unit is upholstered in a purple moquette fabric featuring a pattern of thin, horizontal light-coloured stripes and dark flecked accents. The reverse side consists of a wooden backing board fitted with a small metal mounting bracket secured by two Phillips head screws. A white adhesive identification label is affixed to the rear board, printed with the text 1. NORTHERN RAIL CLASS 142 PACER SEAT BACK.
