An Edwardian sterling silver napkin ring of simple cylindrical form. This piece features a full set of British hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office, including the anchor mark, the lion passant denoting .925 sterling silver, and the capital date letter H in a clipped corner rectangular punch for the year 1907. The maker’s mark A & J is partially visible, corresponding to the prolific Birmingham silversmiths A. & J. Zimmerman Ltd (Arthur & John Zimmerman). The napkin ring is of plain, unornamented design with a substantial gauge of metal.
