This collection comprises an assortment of action figures and electronic CommTech chips produced by Hasbro circa 1999 for the release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The figures are manufactured from moulded plastic and feature articulated heads and limbs. The group features core characters from the film, including multiple versions of Anakin Skywalker in Tatooine attire and Obi-Wan Kenobi as a Jedi Apprentice. Each figure is paired with an electronic CommTech voice chip, intended for use with a separate electronic reader to playback character dialogue. Visible labels on the chips include Name: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Status: Jedi Apprentice, 19; Name: 13 Anakin Skywalker, Status: Apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi; and ANAKIN SKYWALKER, 3. The items are mostly stored within individual clear resealable plastic bags, with one Anakin figure remaining loose. A larger figure in a blue outfit is partially visible within one of the bags.
