An industrial typist’s chair of mid-20th-century design. The chair features a rectangular backrest and square seat upholstered in a teal blue textured fabric. The backrest is supported by a curved steel upright with adjustable depth and height settings. The seat is mounted upon a central steel column featuring a manual screw-thread height adjustment mechanism with a locking collar. The unit is supported by a four-star splayed steel base terminating in circular glides. The steel frame and base exhibit a dark, heavily oxidised and rusted finish throughout.
