A Barbini? Murano art glass bird sculpture of elongated, stylized form, executed using the sommerso technique. The piece features a deep amethyst glass core encased within a thick clear glass exterior, forming a slender curved neck and a small crest. It is supported by a substantial, lavender-toned glass base with a moulded, textured finish. Accompanying the figure is an amber pressed glass footed bowl of flared form, featuring a deeply ruffled rim with shell-moulded texture and star motifs to the panels. The group further includes a small art glass jug with alternating vertical stripes of opaque pink and translucent green glass, fitted with a clear glass applied loop handle.
