A DAF promotional square ashtray constructed from hammered white metal. The vessel features four integral cigarette rests at each corner and a central circular well. The flanged rim is decorated in relief with three distinct vehicle models including a cab-over engine lorry, a passenger car? resembling the DAF 600, and a delivery van. The fourth side bears an impressed mark reading DAF positioned above a circular seal. This seal is inscribed EINDHOVEN to the upper arch and NEDERLAND to the lower arch, containing a central cross within a circle flanked by stylised horizontal wings. The textured finish is consistent across the upper surfaces, while the rests and well exhibit a smoother polished appearance.
