An assortment of Italian earthenware character figurines and novelty decanter containers. The collection comprises several polychrome painted figures including a rustic boy and girl, a youth in eighteenth-century style striped dress, and two character decanters depicting a woodcutter and a musician playing a balalaika. The decanters are fitted with removable ceramic stoppers. Also included is a larger figurine of a religious? subject finished in a monochrome cream glaze. The base of the balalaika decanter is embossed with a circular seal featuring a crowned crest and foliage, above the marks EXCLUSIVITÉ, 1978, KLEM. ©, CONTAINER, and MADE IN ITALY. The figures are constructed from heavy earthenware with cold-painted finishes to the surface.
